= HHSC PHOTO ALBUM =One of the best ways to gain familiarity with the sport of soaring, is through photographs. Some consider soaring to be an artform in its own right, and that certainly shows through in the photos we've included in this photo album. In addition to the inherent beauty of the soaring experience, you will see something on the faces of the participants - the unabashed joy of soaring.

Here's a nice video clip provided by Ron Waclawik from a camera mounted externally on his DG-200 sailplane. It includes a very good on-board view of a sailplane take-off and landing at Harris Hill. This file is 5.1 mbytes in size, and is in Windows WMV video format.
See a video clip from the pilot's seat of a Schweizer 2-33 glider taking off at Harris Hill. This video was kindly provided by Drew Sanderson. File size is 3.3 mbytes. It is an .AVI format video, and will play under the QuickTime player, and others. Two hints: 1) watch the yaw string; 2) listen to the sound track.
See Phil Callihan's huge stock of excellent aircraft (plus rockets, missles, vintage) photos - but not many gliders. Many hundreds of unusual photos, including interesting aircraft details: landing gears, instruments, engines.
Link to this terrific photo-coverage of the 1998 Aerotow 1/4 scale R/C model meet at Harris Hill. Extensive coverage is provided by the German team and sponsors.
