Intact contrails suggest very stable air - and perhaps no lift.	Flying with a friend near New York's Finger Lakes.
Valley fog, "cooking off" in time for the first tow of the morning.	The muddy Chemung River, swollen from early summer rains, floods the adjacent meadows.
A break in low-lying clouds reveals our home base - and destination.	Very rapidly rising air of a springtime cumulus creates a double layer of lenticular caps over Elmira.
